A modern pool complex
We also cater for the needs of today. So the swimming pool complex has 2 (heated) pools, a separate children’s pool, the ‘Lazy River’ waterslide and a leisure pond with beach. On the 'mainland’ children can have fun with on air trampoline, indoor playground, outdoor playgrounds and with the varied entertainment programme. Parents can spoil themselves in the sauna and massage cabin.
Easy going, easy dining
Don’t feel like cooking a fancy meal? We completely understand and have catered for your every need. In the restaurant you can have an à la carte meal or enjoy a delicious pizza. Another plus point: in and around the restaurant you have free WiFi during low season. So be sure to pack your tablet!
And while you are packing, consider taking bikes with you. The flat landscape here provides endless cycling and hiking trips through fragrant lavender fields and past dreamy villages. Don’t want to bring your own bike? Then hire one on the campsite. From the campsite it is a short walk to the small village of Châteauneuf-de-Galaure. Buy your fresh bread at the bakery there.
Iris Parc often has very good offers that you can take advantage of. During low season you can enjoy extra discount. Throughout the rest of the year we have additional special deals with attractive discounts.
What type of deals?
What kind of deals and offers are there? As you would expect, there are last minute offers in the spring and summer holiday periods. If you book at last minute it can save you lots of money. Autumn is also a time for great value camping holidays. Enjoy a cosy stay in a luxurious mobile home in Paris or Luxembourg. Another option during the main holiday season is accommodation that becomes available due to cancellation. It is always worth checking just before you want to book a last minute trip. Once again, there is a chance of high discounts.
Themed package deals
Iris Parc often organises package deals. Think for example about Halloween. Book a package created by us and enjoy nice extra’s for a small price. During big sports tournaments like the European Championship or the World Cup we’ll often offer attractive package deals that include meals or themed nights for example.
Nearby Le Château de Galaure
The Drôme, not the most famous region of France. However it really is beautiful and borders the Ardèche, Provence and the French Alps. The landscape of the Drôme varies from mountains to the Rhône valley with its famous vineyards. Moving south you’ll see the transition into Provence with its lavender fields, olive groves and fields full of sunflowers. The Parc de Vecors is home to majestic mountains.
What sights are there?
The Parc de Vecors is highly recommended if you like hiking and nature. It is a compact group of mountains where few roads have been built, so still very authentic. That makes for spectacular views. There are also lots of wild animals, so don’t be surprised if you bump into a deer, roe or some other animal. Le Claps is also recommended: a rock mass created by an avalanche. You can climb its walls – a really exciting trip!
Self-built palace and sweets
The Palais Idéal du Facteur Cheval is the masterpiece built by the postman Ferdinand Cheval. This man dedicated his live to creating this stunning building. Stone by stone. It took him 33 years and these days it is a national monument. If you have a sweet tooth, you should certainly go to Montélimar. This town is world-famous for its handmade nougat. You simply have to try it! Complete your sweet day by visiting the candy museum.

Our luxurious accommodation
At Iris Parc there is something to suit each type of camper. Do you like camping, but with all the luxury of home? Then one of our mobile homes is ideal. Always equipped with your own shower, toilet and kitchen. Some even have 2 bathrooms. The bedrooms always have comfortable beds, usually with pillows and duvets. The only thing you have to bring along are sheets, pillowcases, towels and your own belongings of course. Enjoy a fresh baguette on the (partly) covered veranda in the morning, and then perhaps have a BBQ there in the evening.
A tent with real beds and a kitchen
Looking for something luxurious, but more like real camping? Then spend your holiday in a fully equipped bungalow tent. As soon as you enter the tent you are back to the traditional style of camping. Only this time there are no (flat) air beds and basic one-pot meals cooked on a single burner. In our tents (choose from the Navajo and the Ottawa) you’ll sleep in real beds and cook in your own kitchen, complete with a 4 burner hob and fridge. The tents are so spacious that you can stand upright and there is plenty of space to store your belongings. At night just flip a light switch, so no hunting around for a torch. True camping luxury!
Pleasant, spacious pitches
Of course a holiday using your own tent or caravan is always a pleasant and familiar experience. You can book a very spacious pitch on all of our campsites. Le Chêne Gris, Le Grand Dague and Le Château de Galaure offer 2 types of pitch: the standard pitch with 10A power and the pitch Comfort with 16A power, cold water supply and drainage. On Birkelt you have a choice of 3 types of pitch.
