New facilities at Le Grand Dague
Last year the pool was extended. For 2017 the restaurant, snack bar, shop and bar will be completely renovated! The restaurant will get a total makeover that includes a large covered terrace. Lovely, because the terrace has a magnificent view over the hills of the Dordogne. Are you craving for an ice cream? The snack bar has some nice ones and delicious pizzas too. If you prefer to cook your own meals, the large grocery shop has a wide range of products to choose from.
Cycling with children in France
Going cycling with the kids in France? Then take note! Children under 12 must wear a helmet. This applies to both children cycling themselves and kids sitting on the back of a bike as a passenger. So don’t forget to make the kids wear a helmet. It’ll save you 135 euros in fines!
Sun loungers for everyone!
Putting your towel on your lounger early in the morning? So you can save your spot by the pool for the rest of the day? At the Iris Parc campsites, it’s not permitted to reserve your lounger. To prevent this from happening we have drawn up the following rules:
- When you leave the pool area and adjoining terrace, it is not permitted to leave a towel ( or other items) on a lounger or deck chair
- It is not permitted to reserve a chair or lounger for another person.
- Staff can remove towels without permission. (or on request.)
There are more than enough sun loungers around the swimming pools and everyone can use them. If we stick to these rules, we can all enjoy the swimming pool and the sun. Have fun!
The new pool is open!
Lots of extra water fun in 2016 on camping Le Grand Dague! The current swimming pools are being extended with the addition of a new swimming pool of 750 m2, complete with a hydro massage and a toddler pool! Beaches and a little island create the ultimate holiday feeling and the spacious terrace offers plenty of space for sunbeds, so there’s ample opportunity to relax.
'Glamping, what's that?' you might ask yourself. Well, it's a combination of Glamorous and Camping. Sounds like a good idea, don't you think?
Staying in a mobile home is a very luxurious way of camping anyway, but our Glamping accommodation takes it a step further. Facilities like a cooking island with dishwasher, 3 bedrooms (with blackout curtains), 2 toilets and 2 bathrooms make it a superb and spacious place to enjoy a mavellous holiday. Have a look at the list below to see just what you get.
